Pictured at the left is our pleased TLM Network Grand Prize Raffle Contest Winner receiving her goody basket of personal care #AromaHead products. The TLM Network Raffle was held on May 23 at 2:15 pm.  From the photo, you can see that our our Exhibit Table featured handouts about the #National Library of Medicine’s (NLM) #MedlinePlus.gov online health information service and the #Alzheimer’s Association Helpline.

#BANC was a successful outreach activity and a HIT with the seniors who visited our TLM Network Exhibit Table.

The Transforming Lives and More Inc. Special Library (TLM Network) participated as a sponsor and exhibitor at the 37th Annual Broward Aging Network Conference on May 22-23, 2018.  This annual conference is held during Older Americans Month at the Southwest Focal Point Senior Center, Pembroke Pines, Florida.  BANC is a service of the #Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC Broward) and #Areawide Council on Aging Inc., Sunrise, FL.  There were a total of 50 sponsors who helped support the educational event.

Each year, BANC draws over 300 senior citizens, family caregivers, students, aging network professionals, and vendors from across Broward County, FL.  Bus loads of seniors are transported from their senior residential facilities near the #Southwest Focal Point Senior Center to attend the educational workshops, exhibits, and to network with the aging network professionals to learn about new services and product offerings.  This year’s conference theme was– “Engage at Any Age.”

Our TLM Network Exhibit was generously supported with funding through an Exhibit Award received from the #National Network of Libraries of Medicine Southeastern Atlantic Region.  The Exhibit Table was staffed by library volunteers, #Lucy Osemota, #Nahuel Castrilli, and #Dr. Mary Howrey, over the two-day conference.  Our Exhibit Table featured #NLM 4 Caregivers online resources, our #Resourceful-U Family Caregivers Support Group, TLM Network website, and #Tidy Tops for dignified dining.

#Gustavo Santoro, videographer and owner of #Gus Picture, Doral, FL, video recorded BANC presentations and the Exhibit Area on Day 1 of the conference.  A highlights video will be soon available on #YouTube.  Nahuel Castrilli posted dancing activities via #Facebook Live that can be viewed on the TLM Network’s Facebook page.
